OKLAHOMA CITY -- Three people were killed after a wreck at Interstate 240 and Shields Boulevard Thursday.

Twenty-year-old Antwain Field and 17-year-old Marcel Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-year-old Jesse Howard was transported to a hospital in critical condition but he later died.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said two vehicles were traveling westbound on I-240 at high rate of speed when one of the vehicle struck or swerved towards the other vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and up an embankment. The vehicle then struck the bridge pylon, ejecting all three occupants inside. The other vehicle left the scene.

The two outside westbound lanes of I-240 were closed for over two hours after the fatal wreck.

The OHP report stated none of the wrecked vehicle's occupants was wearing seatbelts.
