EMSA Gets Accreditation Award

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's EMSA has been awarded with national accreditation. The distinction places EMSA's ambulance services among the top 1 percent nationwide.

Oklahoma's EMSA is one of only 159 ambulance services in the country to receive the award. To receive accreditation, the emergency service team went through a rigorous year long review process.

"Oklahoma City is lucky indeed to have EMSA providing its ambulance service," said EMSA Chief Information Officer Frank Gresh. "This accreditation is just another feather in the cap of this city that this system is able to provide."

Oklahoma's EMSA achieved a rare perfect score in patient care standards.

EMSA becomes only the second ambulance service in Oklahoma to gain national accreditation.
