TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's Southwest Airlines employees offer high-flying help to kids in need.

The employees gathered donations, rounding up coloring books and crayons, games and snacks at Tulsa International Airport.

The American Red Cross will pack the supplies in "comfort kits" and hand them out to children who've lost everything in fires, floods and tornados.

"Children are especially distressed. Their parents are distressed, so if they have something that can entertain them and occupy them and give them a little bit of joy, it's just a terrific thing in a difficult time," said Donita Quesnel, Tulsa American Red Cross.

Southwest Airlines employees are doing similar donation drives in cities across the country.
