OKLAHOMA CITY -- A new state of the art mobile medical unit is at the Oklahoma State Fair for the first time and will be in place for one of the fair's biggest attractions -- bull riding.
The mobile unit has ultrasound capabilities, x-ray viewing, electric stimulation and other forms of care.
"This kind of sport is one of the most grueling on athletes. It's not if you are going to get hurt, it's a matter of when and how bad," said program manager Mike Rich.
The new facility provides better immediate care and a sense of security for athletes and their families.
The truck and free healthcare is an idea from Justin Boot Company. They go around to about 125 rodeos around the country to help. It's something the company has been doing since 1981.
