UNDATED -- The latest Rasmussen poll shows Republican Congresswoman Mary Fallin a strong favorite in the race for Oklahoma's governor.
Fallin jumped to a 26-point lead over Democratic candidate Lieutenant Governor Jari Askins, according to a news release Friday.
The statewide telephone survey of likely voters shows Fallin picking up 60 percent support, while Askins earns 34% of the vote. One percent prefer some other candidate, and five percent are undecided.
In August, Fallin led Askins 52 percent to 37 percent. Prior to the latest survey, Fallin's support remained in the 51 percent to 57 percent range in surveys conducted since February. Askins received between 32 percent and 37 percent support during the same period.
