OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police and Special Agents from the FBI arrested a suspect in a bank robbery Monday.

The FBI said 47-year-old Timothy Roach of Oklahoma City was arrested in Monday's robbery of the Bank of the West in the 1600 block of S.W. 89th Street.

Agents said Roach entered the bank just before 9:30 a.m. He showed the teller a note demanding money. The note also indicated the robber had a gun, but the teller did not see the weapon. The robber took the money and left the bank.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

A tip led investigators to Roach and an arrest was made at approximately 4 p.m. in Oklahoma City.

The 47-year-old will be charged with a federal bank robbery complaint in U.S. District Court in Oklahoma City Tuesday.
