Oklahoma City Ranked 5th in Country for Volunteer Rate

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans are generous people and Oklahoma City's volunteering spirit is getting recognized.

The website VolunteeringinAmerica.org ranks Oklahoma City fifth in the country for the volunteer rate out of 51 large cities. Other cities making the top five included Minneapolis-St. Paul, Portland, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Seattle.

Oklahoma ranked 20th out of the 50 states with Utah having the highest state volunteer rate and New York coming in last.
