SKIATOOK, OKLAHOMA -- The attorney for Skiatook High School principal Donna Brogan says she has returned to work Monday.

Richard O'Carroll told The News On 6 the school district's lawyer talked to him over the weekend and said Brogan could return to work on Monday, September 20, 2010.

This move comes a week after the school district announced Brogan had been placed on paid suspension.

During a meeting of the Skiatook School Board last Monday, parents expressed concerns and sought answers to why she had been suspended. Some parents say Brogan was punished for urging the school board to get rid of superintendent Steve Williams.

Williams took over for indicted superintendent Gary Johnson, who is accused of wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on overpriced janitorial supplies and security equipment.

O'Carroll says Brogan returned to work Monday morning and expressed thanks for all the support and remains dedicated to serving the school, the community and the best interest of the students.

So far, the Skiatook school district has not commented.
