Motorcyclist Arrested for DUI in Fatal Oklahoma City Crash

The driver of a fatal motorcycle accident Friday night was arrested for driving under the influence after he slammed into the back of a vehicle.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The driver in a fatal motorcycle accident Friday night was arrested for driving under the influence after he crashed into the back of a vehicle.

Jerry Davis and his passenger 53-year-old Patricia Dixon were driving northbound on Portland Avenue near N.W. 3rd Street, when their motorcycle slammed into the back of a vehicle turning left.

Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene. Davis was transported to OU Medical Center with serious injuries. Neither Davis nor Dixon was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the vehicle was treated and released at a local hospital.

Davis faces several charges including manslaughter, driving under the influence, driving under suspension and following too closely. He will be booked into the Oklahoma County Jail once he is released from the hospital.
