OKLAHOMA CITY -- The judge who stepped down from a high-profile murder case against Oklahoma City pharmacist Jerome Ersland is making some changes in her career.

Beginning next year, District Judge Tammy Bass LeSure said she's giving up criminal cases and will begin handling only probate, guardianship and adoption cases, instead.

Bass-LeSure recently stepped down from the Ersland case. Prosecutors on the case said she violated ethics guidelines in a separate case by recommending several attorneys to a personal trainer who was scheduled to appear in her courtroom on drug charges.

Bass-Lesure said her actions have been misrepresented.
