EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Edmond Police Officer Dack Pearson has a new partner in crime, a four legged friend trained to track down drugs in Edmond public schools.

Justice is the newest member to the k-9 unit with the Edmond Police Department. The Labrador is a single-purpose drug dog trained to find meth, cocaine and heroin.

"He's a good deterrent involving drugs on school campuses and he's going to do a lot of good things," Pearson said.

Pearson is Justice's handler and trained with him all summer.

Pearson and Justice's main campus is based in Edmond's Boulevard Academy, but the team searches other schools as well.

"Justice will be a friendly reminder for the students and serve as a deterrent from drug use," Jim Carlile, principal of Boulevard Academy, said.
