PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania -- Students around the metro headed back to class a couple weeks ago. Now that most students are in school, President Obama had a message just for them.

Part of President Obama's speech focused on school bullying. He shared his own experiences to relate to kids.

"Being a teenager isn't easy...When I was your age, I was wrestling with questions about who I was; about what it meant to be the son of a white mother and a black father, and not having that father in my life," said Obama. "Some of you may be working through your own questions right now, and coming to terms with what makes you different."

School bullying has been a hot topic in Oklahoma. State lawmakers are talking about toughening the bullying law already in effect. The concerns come after a child in Perkins took his own life after being picked on in school.

Bullying was only a part of President Obama's message. He also be called students to meet their responsibilities at school. That means showing up on time, paying attention in class and doing their homework.

Obama delivered his speech from the Philadelphia School in Pennsylvania.
