Report Cites Major Problems with Oklahoma's DHS

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A group known as Children's Rights filed new evidence late Friday citing major problems within the Oklahoma Department of Human Resources.

A report by the group stated Oklahoma ranks worst in confirmed abuse or neglect of children in foster care.

The group also said more than a third of children in foster care go to three different homes in less than one year, and there's only half as many foster homes available as there are children in foster care.

As for the case workers trying to watch out for the children, their caseloads are usually two to three times the national standard.
