TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Tulsa Police say an unidentified man was thrown from a car Sunday traveling on northbound U.S. Highway 75 just south of the Apache Street exit at 65 to 70 mph.

Sergeant Robert Rohloff told The News On 6 that the department received the call shortly after 12 a.m.

Witnesses said the man was thrown out of the passenger side of an older model tan Toyota Camry, Rohloff said. Police were searching for the car early Sunday morning.

Police said the man had extensive road rash covering his body and was in a great deal of pain when he was transported by EMSA to an area hospital. Rohloff said he understood the wounds were not life threatening.
