BETHANY, OKLAHOMA -- Bethany Police are searching for a man they initially thought was a victim, but has turned into a suspect.

Officers said 25-year-old Timothy Franks tried to rob two people at gunpoint at the Holiday Inn Express on Northwest 39th Expressway.

Police said Franks pulled a gun on two men around 3 a.m. Sunday morning and demanded money.  The victims resisted and overpowered Franks.  Police said Franks fired off at least four shots, but no one was hit.

Franks received a laceration on his head.  He was treated and released from a local hospital before police had enough evidence to arrest him.

Anyone with information about Franks whereabouts should call the Bethany Police Department at 405-789-2323.
