FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Authorities in northwest Arkansas say a Washington County work release inmate from Oklahoma who disappeared from a job site in Fayetteville is back in custody.

Authorities said Wednesday that 34-year-old Tony Rose of Moore, Oklahoma, was arrested by an Arkansas State Police trooper in neighboring Madison County. Details of the arrest were not immediately available.

Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder says Rose reported missing about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Helder says Rose was cutting weeds when he disappeared.

Authorities say Rose was serving 43 days for misdemeanor convictions.
