OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man from Ponca City, Oklahoma has been sentenced to 39 months in federal prison for second-degree burglary, according to Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Judge Tim Leonard sentenced 30-year-old Collins R. Roubideaux to serve 39 months in federal prison for breaking into a home in Kay County. Due to the fact that Roubideaux is an American Indian and the crime was committed within Indian County at the Tonkawa Tribe's Fort Oakland community in Kay County, the crime falls under federal jurisdiction.

Roubideaux was indicted in February of 2010 and pleaded guilty April 6, 2010. He was sentenced Tuesday morning. Judge Leonard said Roubideaux could face three years of supervised release following served time.
