Suspect Arrested After Drug Deal, Fight with Officers

PURCELL, Oklahoma – A suspect was arrested after authorities witnesses a drug deal in Cleveland County.

When the Cleveland County deputy and Purcell officer went to bust the deal at an apartment complex off of an Interstate 35 Service Road in Cleveland County, the suspects started fighting with the officers said Undersheriff Rhett Burnett.

Two of the suspects escaped during the altercation, but Kevin Folks was arrested. Folks was treated for minor injuries and booked into the Cleveland County jail. Folks is an escapee from the Department of Corrections.

The two officers were also treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, but were released.

Police are still searching for the two suspects who ran from the scene.
