CHANDLER, Oklahoma -- Former Chandler Police Chief Kevin Towler has been charged and sentenced for assaulting his wife.
Towler pleaded guilty and received a two-year deferred sentence. He was ordered to pay court costs and attend a 52-week domestic violence course.
The conviction means Towler must give up his CLEET license. Also, anyone convicted of domestic violence can no longer carry a firearm.
A hearing has been set for November 18 to ensure he is complying with the plea deal.
