OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Attorney General's office recently finished investigating part of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for possible criminal activity.

According to a letter from the Attorney General's office to the Department of Public Safety the results of the investigation and an audit into Troop O, the helicopter division, revealed only that there was "highly suspect" activity involving a trooper and mechanic.

But the Attorney General's office said the record keeping was "inadequate" making it impossible to pinpoint any wrong-doing that would lead to criminal charges. However, the Attorney General's office did recommend several changes to OHP policies.

The OHP responded in a letter stating, "The Department will take the findings of this audit and apply them in our continual efforts to further our accountability and efficiency as an agency."
