MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – An employee of Braum's on N.E. 23rd Street in Midwest City was arrested and charged with armed robbery of the store.

On August 4, police said three employees were opening the store when a suspect came through the door in a ski mask and hoodie holding a large kitchen knife. He told the employees to go to the safe. One of the employees opened the safe, gave the suspect the money inside and he left with almost $3,000 in cash.

No employees were harmed during the robbery.

When police interviewed the employees, each one said the suspect reminded them of another employee, Kristoffer Chamberlain, because of his physical size, mannerisms and voice. They believed the suspect knew store procedures and where the safe was located, but they weren't positive because they never saw the suspect's face.

Police interviewed Chamberlain multiple times and reviewed surveillance video from the incident. Police detectives found the grey hoodie the suspect was wearing during the robbery in Chamberlain's home. A large kitchen knife was also missing from the butcher block in Chamberlain's kitchen.

Tuesday, Kirstoffer Chamberlain was arrested while trying to pick-up his paycheck from Braum's. He was booked into the Midwest City jail and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
