Oklahoma Man Drowns After Hitting His Head

One person drowned after was rendered unconscious and fell into the water at the Southwest State Sand and Gravel Company in a dredge pond in Tillman County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

SNYDER, Oklahoma -- One person drowned after was rendered unconscious and fell into the water at the Southwest State Sand and Gravel Company in a dredge pond in Tillman County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Trooper said Michael Diehl, 23, was loading a boat on a trailer when the boat slipped off the trailer and hit Diehl in the head. Diehl then fell into the water unconscious and drowned.

Hobart fire crews recovered Diehl's body around 2 p.m. Saturday.

Diehl was not wearing a flotation device.
