Former Catoosa Police Officer Sentenced To Probation

The former assistant police chief of Catoosa will avoid prison time.

CATOOSA, OK -- The former assistant police chief of Catoosa will avoid prison time.

Paul Whitmire pleaded guilty in May to obtaining prescription pain killers from several sources.

He was fired shortly after his indictment in January.

The Rogers County Drug Task Forces say Whitmire got 30 months of probation and a felony conviction, but will spend no time behind bars.
