MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – Firefighters battled a house fire in Midwest City Tuesday afternoon.
Crews put the fire out quickly at the home near S.E. 15th and Midwest Boulevard.
Firefighters say the house was vacant, but they had to evacuate the family living in the house next door when the flames started to spread.
No one was hurt. Because of the heat, firefighters could only work 15 minutes at a time. Still, it only took crews about 30 minutes to knock out the fire.
It is unclear what caused the fire, but investigators said it appears suspicious.
