1 Dead, Another Injured After Driver Slams into Gas Pump

DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- A driver for an unknown reason swerved off the highway and slammed into gas pump at a Sinclair gas station in Del City Saturday.

The gas pumps and the vehicle caught on fire and two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle died at the hospital Sunday morning. His wife, who was also injured, is in an unknown condition.

The driver also damaged several cars on I-40 while trying to get off the highway near the 3100 of Tinker Diagonal.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

The Medical Examiner's office is working to determine the driver's exact cause of death.
