JEFFERSON COUNTY, OK -- A 50-year-old Texas man died after a Friday evening wreck on State Highway 89, about 6 miles south of Ringling in Jefferson County, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say David W. Zondor was behind the wheel of a 2004 Ford Escape at about 7 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway to right, swerved to the left side of the road then again went off the right shoulder.

The Escape then rolled two times. Zondor, who was wearing a safety belt, was partially ejected and died of massive injuries late Friday night at OU Medical Center.

Zondor was from Flower Mound, Texas. The cause of the collision was most likely driver sleepiness, according to the trooper's report.
