OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police are seeking information in the death of a cyclist from July 17, and are handing the case over to the Oklahoma City Police Homicide Unit.

Police said the case is being considering a homicide because of the suspicious circumstances regarding Alan Spencer's death.

Spencer was riding his bicycle in the 12500 block of North Midwest Boulevard when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene and Spencer died as a result of the crash.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call the homicide tip-line at (405) 297-1200.

A second cyclist, Clyde Riggs, was hit and killed just four miles from where Spencer was hit the day before. The driver of the car that hit Riggs did stop after the accident.
