OKLAHOMA CITY – A classified military leak involves an Oklahoma soldier. Bradley Manning, 22, is charged by the military with releasing classified information. He's accused of leaking thousands of secret documents from the U.S. military to the Web site WikiLeaks.org.

Manning grew up Crescent, Oklahoma, before moving to Wales after his parents' divorce.

Crescent School Administrator Rick McCombs said Manning was in the Crescent school system from kindergarten through eighth grade, but left during the first semester of eighth grade on November 9, 2001. Manning took band and art as his electives and didn't play any sports.

McCombs said there were no discipline forms in Manning's file.

The school administrator said the 22-year-old was a straight-A student through sixth grade. He was B-C student in the seventh and eighth grade. McCombs described Manning as "your typical school kid."

According to a family friend, Manning returned to Oklahoma after graduating from high school and then quit or lost jobs in food service and retail in Tulsa.

Manning is an Army intelligence analyst and has bragged online that he downloaded 260,000 classified documents and gave them to WikiLeaks.org.
