BETHANY, Oklahoma – Bethany police are continuing an investigation into a weekend stabbing that injured a man and an infant.

According to Bethany police, Laroderick Allen was arrested for stabbing 20-year-old Deaundre Lockett several times in the stomach.

Police said a fight broke out between the two in the backyard of a home at 6903 N.W. 36th Street. Lockett's grandmother came outside to try to break up the fight. She was holding her 9-month-old grandchild during the altercation.

Allen then pulled a knife and began swinging it at Lockett, when the infant got struck with a knife in the head behind the ear by Allen. The grandmother went back inside with the baby.

Police said Allen then began stabbing Lockett in the stomach and arm.

A family friend picked up the infant and Lockett after he ran from the backyard down the street and took both to the Bethany Fire Department. Both Lockett and the infant were then taken to Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.

Lockett and the infant are both recovering. Lockett is listed in good condition. The infant, whose name has not been released, is in stable condition.

Another man was chasing Allen and Lockett down the street after the stabbing. Police are still searching for that other person, who they believe fired a gun at Allen.
