OKLAHOMA CITY -- Early voting is under way for the statewide primary election for governor and other elective offices in Oklahoma.

Early voting began Friday morning in all 77 Oklahoma counties and will continue until 6 p.m.

Early voting continues Saturday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Voters must cast early votes in the county where they are registered.

Ballots will be cast for governor and other statewide positions, members of Congress and legislative races.

Meet the candidates.

State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax says early voting is a convenient alternative for those who can't make it to their polling place on election day. He says it's also an option for those voters who simply don't want to wait until Tuesday.
