JENKS, OK -- Green Country athletes are pitching in to help a young meningitis victim.

Jeremiah Mitchell lost his arms and legs after contracting the disease in March. He spent several months at Shriners Hospital for Children in Cincinnati. While Jeremiah and his family were out of town, a storm destroyed their home.

Heroes on the Diamond will be held July 23rd through the 25th in Jenks to raise money for the family to get a new place to live.  The event starts Friday night at 5 p.m. at Jenks Park West.

The Oral Roberts University baseball team will host a kid's clinic. There will be hamburgers and a coin-counting machine for donations, which will be matched by a local bank.
