PAULS VALLEY, Oklahoma -- Since June 23, three banks in southern Oklahoma cities along the I-35 corridor have been robbed, and authorities suspect it's the same bank robber in each case.

Pauls Valley Police Chief Scott Robbins has looked at bank security photos snapped during robberies at BancFirst in Marietta, IBC Bank in Ardmore and the First United Bank in Pauls Valley and has formed a conclusion.

"It's our belief, along with the FBI, that the person that robbed our bank is also responsible for a bank robbery in Ardmore, Marietta, and a couple in Louisiana earlier this year," Robbins said.

The man is described as a white male, in his forties, 5'9" to 6', wearing a dark blue shirt, khaki shorts, white tennis shoes, sunglasses and a blue ball cap with a basketball with flames logo.

He was seen driving a gold or tan, four-door mid-sized car with a sun roof and a spoiler. No license tag information is available. In none of the cases has the robber ever brandished any kind of weapon.

Since the robber's apparent route is north up I-35, banks in Purcell are on the alert.

"I've contacted the local banks and advised them of what we're seeing as a pattern," said McClain County Undersheriff Bill Shobe. ""They're located right off of I-35. Easy in, easy out, and it's quiet."

"I just think he's very brazen. But I do think he'll be captured. I'm confident that eventually we'll learn his identify and he'll come to justice," said Robbins.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at 405-290-7770 or the Pauls Valley Police Department at 405-238-5531. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
