Cab Company Appeal Denied by OKC City Council

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An appeal by Yellow Cab Company has been denied by the Oklahoma City, city council during an agenda meeting.

Yellow Cab tried to prevent a new cab company called Thunder Cab to also paint its cabs yellow and black. Yellow Cab argued the same colors would cause confusion among its customers.

However, the owner of Thunder Cab gave a presentation arguing yellow and black is a common color combination for cabs worldwide.

City leaders voted 8-1 to deny the appeal. City leader Brian Walters was the one descending vote.
