NEWS 9 took home three Emmy awards at the Heartland Chapter's Emmy Gala on Sunday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – NEWS 9 took home three Emmy awards at the Heartland Chapter's Emmy Gala on Sunday.

The Consumer Watch team including reporter Amanda Taylor, photojournalist Rich Kriegel and producer Courtney Clevenger won an Emmy for the Business/Consumer News Story "Scamming the Scammer." More on this story.

Reporter Gan Matthews and photojournalist Chris Newsome took home the Emmy in the Politics/Government Single News Story category for their work "Voter Turnout Dead: No Votes Cast at Cemetery Precinct." KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs and KCNC-TV in Denver also received an Emmy in this category.

The third Emmy for NEWS 9 went to sports reporter Toby Rowland and photojournalist Dave Valega for their Sports News Feature "Disabled Athletes Show Courage, Compassion at Endeavor Games."
