PAULS VALLEY, Oklahoma – The Toy and Action Figure Museum has drawn over 40,000 visitors to Pauls Valley in the last five years, but Bricktown is trying lure it away.

The museum draws its inspiration from founder Kevin Stark. Starting with his personal collection, the one-of-a-kind museum has grown to 12,000 figures.

"The toy museum is a celebration of pop culture and memories. We actually are a lot about memories," said Kevin Stark, museum curator.

Memories of Star Wars and real wars, Superman, Batman and other super heroes, the museum is where you can visit your friends from long ago.

"All these toys around here are the toys I grew up with and the toys before my time. I just wanted to check 'em out for a while," said Dakota Cross, a museum visitor.

Recently the Bricktown Association has approached the museum about moving to Oklahoma City. Civic leaders in Pauls Valley would hate to lose it.

"The museum is iconic to Pauls Valley because it is a unique attraction that brings people from all over the United States and even international travelers," said Della Wilson with the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber plans to drum up more support, but the museum's last fund-raising letter campaign was a bust. Out of 6,000 letters, Stark said the museum received sixteen back.
