Regional Food Bank Receives Truckload of Food from Dot Foods

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma received a donation today from the nation's largest food re-distributor to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma received a donation today from the nation's largest food re-distributor to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Dot Foods delivered $315,000 worth of food in a special golden anniversary trailer this morning to the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City. The donations included items such as canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, tuna, beans, rice and cereal.

Dot Foods is delivering 270,000 pounds of food to 11 food banks across the country.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is a private nonprofit organization. The products are distributed through the food bank nearly 700 schools and charitable feeding programs in 53 central and western Oklahoma counties.
