Oklahoma City -- Oklahoma City police are on the hunt for a woman who reportedly snuck into the Devon building downtown and stole an employee's purse.

Kent Chrisman, Director of Devon's Corporate Security, said the woman followed an employee inside the building and walked around the 12th and 13th floors where she was able to gain access to the employee's purse.

Chrisman called the woman a "pro."

"At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, she was able to tailgate an employee into the building and by 2:01 p.m., she had already used the victim's credit card."

While inside the building, Chrisman said the woman was stopped by an employee on the 13th floor. The woman reportedly said she was the wife of an employee.

Police say the woman purchased at least two laptops using the victim's stolen credit card.

"People need to recognize even in downtown where there are lots of people, crimes like this still go on," said Oklahoma City Police Cpt. Patrick Stewart.

"We are lucky the woman didn't try and do anything worse," Chrisman said.

If you know or have seen the woman you are urged to call crimestoppers at 235-7300.
