Shawnee Rescue Crews Search for 8-Year-Old Near Drainage Ditch

Shawnee rescue crews are searching for a boy who fell into a large city drainage ditch around Noon Saturday.

SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -- Shawnee rescue crews said they are searching for an 8-year-old boy who fell into a large city drainage ditch around Noon Saturday.

Shawnee city officials said two brothers were riding bikes around the drainage ditch when both of them fell in. One of the boys was able to get out and said he couldn't find his brother. That boy is still missing.

Fire crews suspended the search for the night but said they plan to continue Sunday morning.
