OKLAHOMA CITY -- A wanted fugitive was captured by deputies while singing karaoke at a metro bar.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Warrant Team received a tip that Shannon Renee Dooty was a frequent performer at the Alley Club on S.E. 82nd Street.

Dooty was wanted for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm after former conviction and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies went to the club and waited until Dooty performed around 10 p.m.

"Then around 10 p.m. sure enough, Ms. Dooty goes on stage and performs. She gets applause from the crowd, takes a bow and our deputies meet her and haul her off to jail," said Mark Myers, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department. "The only singing she'll be doing is singing the county blues because she's still being held here at the jail for the charges against her."

Dooty faces all three charges.
