WAUKOMIS, Oklahoma – Almost $5,000 worth of fireworks stolen from a nonprofit organization's stand over the weekend is going to be a major setback for an Enid group.

The Enid Enforcers, a group that helps high school graduates transition into football careers in college, opened a fireworks stand for the first time this year to raise money for their 3-year-old program.

"We run on donations and the money we fundraise goes into uniforms, traveling expenses, game fees for the players, at this point, we hope we can break even," Enforcers owner Mark Timberlake said.

The crooks broke through a locked door and took off with thousands of dollars worth of fireworks Sunday night from the stand located in Waukomis.

Waukomis Police Chief Phillip Ott said they have received several leads throughout the week and the crime is under investigation.

An attempted theft happened Wednesday and Waukomis Police believe this may be connected to Sunday's theft. Police described the possible suspects as two white males and one white female in their late teens or early 20s. They were last seen driving a brand new maroon pickup with a paper tag.

If you have any information, call the police. A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
