Man Arrested for Stealing Chandeliers from Church

A man has been arrested for burglarizing a Norman church. According to police, officers saw the man loading a vehicle with stolen chandeliers.

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A man was arrested for burglarizing a Norman church.

According to police, officers were investigating recent burglaries from construction sites when they saw 45-year-old Phillip Wayne Wilcoxson loading a vehicle with chandeliers from 2820 S. Robinson. Police pulled him over and recovered five chandeliers and other stolen property.

Police said the chandeliers were stolen from the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church located at 3350 12th Avenue N.E. in Norman.

Wilcoxson was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of Receiving/Concealing Stolen Property and a Failure to Pay Child Support warrant out of Cleveland County.
