OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City police officer was attacked during a routine traffic stop.
The officer pulled over Lola Carter for not wearing a seat belt. A police report said the 23-year-old refused to get out of her car so he pulled her out.
She allegedly started kicking and punching the officer. That's when he tasered her.
Carter had pulled over in front of her home. According to the report, Carter's family members came out during the incident and Arthur Hill refused to step back after multiple commands from the officer. The officer then threatened to taser Hill after he feared the 55-year-old was going to attack him as well.
Carter claims the officer knew she didn't have a driver's license and that's why he pulled her over.
Carter and Hill were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of assault and battery of a police officer.
