Norman Mom a Finalist in Paula Deen's Cooking Competition

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A Norman mother is on her way to being the next big cooking star.

Caryn Ross is one of four finalists of Paula Deen's national online cooking competition, 'The Real Women of Philadelphia.'

One of Ross' appetizer recipes put her in the final four, and of course, one of the main ingredients is Philly cream cheese, a required ingredient in the contest.

Ross will be participating in the final Cook Off with Paula Dean in Savannah, Georgia, from June 27 to June 30. The lucky lady who wins the competition will get a $25,000 talent contract and the opportunity to host their own weekly online cooking show.

In addition, the four women will get the chance to contribute to a cookbook highlighting the community's favorite cream cheese recipes.

The winners of the contest will be announced online Wednesday.
