OKLAHOMA CITY -- Environmental Protection Agency officials said the oil spill in the Deep Fork River  near Lake Arcadia should be cleaned up this weekend.

The leak started Monday from an abandoned pipeline near I-35 and Britton Road and was stopped earlier this week.

EPA officials said the cleanup operation should be finished by Friday or Saturday.

Crews moved in heavy machinery on the ground to speed up the process.

A total of 30 to 45 barrels of oil leaked into the river, not 250 as initially reported.
