Man Killed in Shooting at Oklahoma City Truck Stop

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are investigating a deadly shooting at JR's Travel Center in east Oklahoma City.

Police were called to the truck stop near Reno Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. Customers at the travel center heard shots fired and saw a man fall to the ground.

When police arrived, they located 31-year-old Billy Gene Cooks Jr. in the parking lot. Cooks had apparently been shot to death.

Police are looking for the driver of a dark-colored SUV that sped out of the parking lot after the shooting.
