EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An Edmond man was arrested after police say he threatened a couple with a knife over a gas pump.
Police arrested Scott Hamill, 36, following the dispute at the 711 at Danforth and Santa Fe on Saturday.
A man and wife say they pulled up to the gas pump at the same time as Hamill. They told police Hamill got out and started cursing at them with a knife in his hand.
"It's like a road rage incident but at a gas pump, something that could have been handled so much better. It really didn't need to result in threats and a knife being pulled on someone," said Glynda Chu, the Edmond Police Department spokesperson
Police arrested Hamill on an assault with a deadly weapon complaint.
