COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- A report from Chip Brown of OrangeBloods.com cites an unnamed source saying Texas A&M has turned down an offer to join the Pac-10 Conference in a meeting with commissioner Larry Scott Sunday afternoon.

Scott is also expected to visit with Texas Tech at some point Sunday.

Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe is also making contact with the remaining 10 schools in the conference, and reportedly has a plan that could net each of the remaining schools $17 million.
