NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Former OU football player Eric Thunander pleaded guilty to lewd acts with a child and possession of child pornography.

A Cleveland County judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison and, when he gets out of prison, to what amounts to 35 years in suspended sentences, during which time he will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections.

The 30-year-old has a hearing disability and published a book about his struggles with disability, addiction, and the abuse he suffered as a child. Last year he was charged with the sexual abuse of a minor girl.

Testimony Thursday revealed that Thunander had abused other children during his teen years.
