OKLAHOMA CITY -- A bomb squad was called out to investigate a suspicious package at the State Capitol complex in east Oklahoma City.

After investigating, authorities discovered the package contained computer parts or office equipment. The package also had a shipping address label.

The package was found outside on the ground, behind the back right wheel of a red PT Cruiser.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West said the vehicle's driver had gotten into the back of his vehicle but didn't realize the package had fallen to the ground.

A member of the bomb squad picked up the package, opened it and carried it away from the scene.

Troopers blocked off the east parking lot and the tunnel that runs under the northbound lanes of Lincoln Boulevard.

The scene has been cleared and all areas have been reopened.
