OKLAHOMA CITY -- The hail storm caused a tremendous amount of damage to vehicles, they were left dented and windshields busted out.

At this point, there's really no way of knowing exactly how many were hit, but if glass repair shops are any indication, there's a lot of damage.

At City OKC Glass the phones are ringing off the hook. In fact, they have been since right after the storm hit Sunday afternoon.

"We had two people answering the phones from about 4 p.m. to midnight last night, just four lines going all the time," City OKC Glass owner Danny Sullivan said.

The lines are now extending not just to phones but to customers. People began arriving at 4:30 a.m. this morning in hopes their vehicle could be among the first to be fixed.

Ryan Cloer says it was a helpless feeling to watch his wife's SUV take a beating from Mother Nature. He's now feeling the inconvenience of her wrath.

"This is not what you want to do, but luckily your boss understands because everybody in Oklahoma is going through this right now," Cloer said.

Todd Davis drives a 20-year-old Toyota. He jokes it's the best girlfriend he's ever had. As a private contractor, he says taking off work to get repairs done is costing him money, not to mention what the damage will cost.

"It was crazy, no business concerning auto body and glass would pick up the phone so I've been literally driving around to shops trying to get a feel for what it's going to cost," Davis said.

Employees say they expect long days and they were already tired from last week's storm.

"I haven't ever seen it this bad; it's really bad," Sullivan said.

In addition to trying to take care of vehicles they have to go fix broken windows at homes and businesses. The owner of City OKC Glass said he has had to call in extra help.
